President-Elect, President, and Past-President

The following responsibilities are divided between the three people in the president term rotation: Spring Conference committee Chair (as Elect); Coordinating and leading Executive Board meetings; Presiding at all major public SPA events (Fall Reception, Spring Conference, and Awards Luncheon); Liaison to campus organizations; Awards Committee Chair. Other duties as relevant (i.e., participation in other planning activities of Executive Board, working with the Board on proposing new initiatives and directions, in partnership with the SPA membership).

Membership Coordinator
Maintains SPA membership database and acts as main clearinghouse resource person for all membership information.

Publicist/Historian
Creates SPA Newsletter; serves as SPA Webmaster; creates promotional flyers as needed; creates other materials for events as needed; chairs a committee of SPA members to create and update historical records.

Secretary/Treasurer
Takes minutes at SPA executive meetings; handles all financial transactions including membership dues; provides budget information to the exec board; creates correspondence on behalf of the SPA Executive Board.

General Executive Board Positions
Each year the board will turn over by 50%. These positions play a major role in planning the Fall Reception, Professional Development Exchange Program, special programming, book club, and socials, among other things. SPA members are also encouraged and welcomed to participate in the planning of these activities.

Graduate and Undergraduate Student Representatives
Serve as the liaison between the Executive Board, SPA general membership, and the students. Plan panels and forums about career opportunities in higher education and related areas. Participate in the planning of all board events of interest.
